Open Letter to Preachers

O Preachers where art thou?
Why have ye fallen asleep?
Why have ye neglected your duty post?
Why have ye abandoned your calling?
Where art thy morals?
Why have ye conformed to this world?
Was it not written be not conformed to this world?

In the days of old preachers were instruments in God’s hands; he used them to chastise the government and individuals alike. What we have these days are preachers that are scared to speak the gospel truth for fear of being condemned. The Apostles of old (Peter, Matthew, Paul, James, John etc) spoke the truth without apologies never minding if the majority were against them or if their lives were at stake.

You ask preachers what they feel about LGBT (lesbians, gays, bisexuals & transexuals) they feel indifferent saying it does not matter, you ask them how they feel about girls strutting their stuffs in movies, music videos and dressing provocatively to church they shrug their shoulders like it does not matter and say it is the heart that God looks at. Have you suddenly forgotten that it is written that even when you lust after a woman in your heart it shall be counted unto you as adultery?

To think I was in church the other day and a lady wore a blouse that was cut so deeply in the neck then covered it with an handkerchief. Whilst talking to a young man the handkerchief fell off all the young man could do was stare embarrassingly; unfortunately for him his wife was just round the corner taking in the whole scenario. Am sure he will have some explaining to do when he gets home. Why are you making this young men in church commit adultery in their hearts?

You go to church to listen to salvation messages instead all you hear are prosperity messages polished to sound appealing to the majority. Jesus never taught to appeal; he taught to save, guide and encourage.

The moral standards have fallen and preachers are the catalysts that made it worse. Preachers agreeing to conduct gay marriages some being gay themselves saying it does not matter; says who? If it does not matter why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? In the days of old preachers would have fought the government to a standstill not minding being cast out, jailed or killed rejoicing knowing they were going to the Maker.

Preachers are busy filling their pockets, molesting boys and girls, committing adultery and conducting gay marriages whilst they watch the decadence in the society leap in bounds. They have taken the church to the world when they should have taken the world to the church.

Forget ye not O ye preachers that judgement shall start from the House of God as said in the Holy Book in 1 Peter 4:17. As preachers you were given charge of your flock not to lead them astray but to lead them aright; to salvation.

Preachers desist from your complacency and put His House in order before it is too late.

You have been warned!!

P.S: I am deeply concerned about where these preachers are leading us to..

People don’t go to church no more because of them..

Dear Mr. President

Mr. President

Dear Mr. President

I was so disappointed when I heard the elections had been postponed for the next six (6) weeks. Permit me to say the ruling party (PDP) did not feel confident enough that they could win the elections the way things were going because of the popularity of the major opposing party (APC) so they asked for six (6) more weeks to perfect their act of election rigging.

I was appalled when I heard the reason for the postponement of the elections. Our military said they could not provide enough security personnel for the elections because they were busy with more pressing issue which is fighting insurgency (Boko Haram). At this point I am shaking my head. We all know this terrorist sect has been around long before now to which our president did nothing rather he made a senseless remark such as “terrorism is something every nation must learn to live with”.

Another thing that amazes me is how the President’s supporters defend him despite all that has happened; his actions, inactions and failures. He could not visit the families of the kidnapped girls but he could travel round the country to campaign to be voted in. Their single argument is he is a Christian; please how has that benefitted the average Nigerian family, the girls that were kidnapped, the churches that were burnt, our crude oil that was stolen, monies used to purchase armored vehicles & jets or the graduates that died seeking employment.

The saying is my people perish for lack of knowledge but Nigerians perish despite all they know is happening in the economy. We will keep suffering the same fate until we say no to mediocrity, sentiments and work towards chasing out the corrupt officials.

Let’s vote change!!!! Thanks for reading.
